Today's first final heat has concluded as we speak at the 16th FINA World Championships in Kazan. The world’s eight best swimmers competed in the men’s 200 butterfly event.

Hungary’s Laszlo Cseh was first to hit the wall with 1:53.48. Cseh being the five-time Olympic champion and repeat world champion medallist, the victory didn’t come as a surprise. He was followed across the finish line by South African Chad Le Clos who clocked 1:53.68. Bronze went to Jan Switkowski of Poland who finished with a time of 1:54.10.
