The 16th FINA World Championships have come to an end and have already gone down in global sports history. There are many things that happened at this international aquatics tournament for the first time.

The 16th FINA World Championships has come to an end. The dazzling show of the Closing Ceremony seemed to be the logical conclusion of the sport extravaganza that reigned in Kazan for more than two weeks. The Closing Ceremony was conducted at the Tatneft Arena Sports Palace and the country’s best performers, artists, ballet dancers and athletes took part in it. The officials, athletes and artists together shared one point of view saying that these Championships would not have been this amazing without volunteers. And it’s to them that the first episode the Closing Ceremony Programme, 'Thank you, Volunteers!', was dedicated.

The Closing Ceremony of the 16th FINA World Championships took place yesterday in Kazan. However, competitions of the Masters tournament are getting underway and the FINA Water World Park will keep operating until August 16. Since its very opening, the Park has already welcomed over 300,000 visitors and it’s only the beginning. Yesterday, about 36,000 people visited the Park whereas 20,000 people watched the live broadcast of the Closing Ceremony on the media façade of the Kazan Arena Stadium.

The 16th FINA World Championships are over but the dazzling show of the Closing Ceremony will linger in the minds of people for a long time.

The Closing Ceremony of the 16th FINA World Championships has already gotten underway. Dmitry Medvedev, Russian Prime Minister, Dr. Julio C. Maglione, FINA President, Viktor Orban, Prime Minister of Hungary, Rustam Minikhannov, Interim President of the Republic of Tatarstan, are attending the event.

LADA is the official car of the 16th FINA World Championships. Today the results of the lottery were announced in the Lada Campus Pavilion located in the FINA Water World Park. The major prize, a LADA Kalina Cross car, was presented to Guzal Khusainova, a citizen of Kazan.
