Press centre
Press centres offer computer stations as well as workplaces which allow journalists to connect their own devices to power outlet and the Internet. Plus, an info desk will operate in each press centre to provide journalists with up-to-the-minute information on the progress of the competition, as well as other events and activities held as part of the FINA World Championships.
Photo workroom
Photographers’ workspace equipped with computer stations as well as workplaces which allow photographers to connect their own devices to power outlet and the Internet. Photo equipment lockers are also available.
Nikon Professional Services (NPS)
Nikon offers a wide range of repair services and equipment rentals to all accredited photographers. The list of services includes:
- diagnostics, cleaning and repair of professional Nikon cameras, lenses and accessories;
- technical support for professional Nikon cameras, lenses and accessories.
To get access to the services, photographers need to register at the Service Centre between July 23 and August 9, 2015. The Service Centre is located on the second floor of the Kazan Arena Stadium. Registration is obligatory; please check the opening hours at the venue.
Press conference room
Press conferences start 20-30 minutes after a victory ceremony and/or upon journalists’ request. Participants: coaches, representatives of winning teams, best scorers, speakers at journalists' request. During press conferences, consecutive interpreting from English into Russian and vice versa is provided. Information about upcoming press conferences will be available at press centre info desks.
Mixed zone
Mixed zones provide journalists with an opportunity to interview athletes and coaches immediately after the competition. Mixed zones are located at the point where athletes exit the competition area.
Depending on the type of media, the order of interviews in a mixed zone is as follows:
- Host broadcaster;
- Rights-holding TV broadcasters;
- Rights-holding radio broadcasters;
- Media partners;
- Press;
- Other media.
A mixed zone operates for 3-5 minutes after the competition.
Press tribunes
Press tribunes are equipped with desks, wired Internet access and are connected to power supply.
Competition results are delivered to the media working in the tribunes by press centre volunteers.
Media lounge
Media lounges are recreation areas for journalists where they are offered coffee breaks (tea, coffee, snacks, fruit), with the supplies renewed throughout the day.
